Am currently sipping the best ginseng oolong tea which someone gave my dad :D It's got a really nice aftertaste that's slightly sweet, slightly bitter... like ginseng! Gotta forgive me for being so obvious today, am slightly brain dead from a long day.

So a few days ago, I had a nice girly catch up session with colleague K.L. Lots had happened since the last time I caught up with that girl, and I always get blown away by all that can be going on behind someone's face.

It was at Hogsbreath cafe Castle Towers. We both didn't want to go very far, having had an early start at work that day.

Sunday... I was actually hoping to get a lot of work done, with all the assignments due in either this week or the next... NR Music Therapy Association (they are the ones in partnership with my Masters degree) held a charity event called the Cafe series. By cafe series, I thought we could just grab a seat after donating some money, and then do our own work while listening to live music.

I gotta say, their cake selection is pretty impressive.

Roast vegetable frittata, tomato, proscuitto and boccocini tart, aracini. Unfortunately, we were placed in the table directly in front of the live band. Whether it's because we were students of Creative Music Therapy, or simply because we RSVP'd last... well.... there goes the plan of doing some work...

No complaints about the food though. It was exquisite. This, in particular, was my favourite: orange and duck macaroon!!

Chef Justin Baker. I forgot what he actually said, but he was working in a 5 star hotel restaurant before I think, and decided to open his own little cafe patisserie at Penrith. Looking at eatability, he's got very good reviews and ratings. Too bad it's in Penrith. I'd visit this place more often if it was closer... If you're living out West, it's a great little cafe with nice staff and ambiance :)
I'm being really brief with my entry, and I'd love to make it longer, but with the amount of workload from uni and my half hour presentation tomorrow to rehearse for, I shall have to leave the longer detailed posts for June.
